Site Info

I am David Rozansky and this is my site.

I fill a lot of roles. I am the publisher of Flying Pen Press, I am an author, I am a gamester, I am an author’s business manager, and I am writing Fishnets & Platforms: The Writers Guide to Whoring Your Book.

I’ve been offering my expertise for quite some time. I generally answer questions on Twitter, speak at conferences and hold seminars. I moderate the Twitterchat #SciFiChat on Fridays. I offer consultations by phone. And of course, I write a lot of articles and opinions on this blog site (conveniently located on the Flying Pen Press web server).

Essentially, I help authors to succeed.

Here are the types of things I tend to blog about:

  • Book-marketing topics
  • Publishing news, reviews and lots of rumors and guesses
  • A variety of information that people have asked me to post, such as role-playing-game material, short stories, and other miscellanea.
  • Information, worksheets and news related to my book, Fishnets & Platforms: The Writers Guide to Whoring Your Book
  • Transcripts, information, news and schedules related to #SciFiChat
  • Information, news, promotions and special offers related to Flying Pen Press.
  • Business Management topics for authors and small publishers
  • Writing tips, rants and tirades
  • Business advice, particularly in the area of marketing
  • Book Reviews, primarily science fiction, business books and writing guides
  • Games, treasure hunts, puzzles and secret messages

What you won’t find here is a blow-by-blow description of my workday or information about my personal life. This is meant to be a treasure trove of good information for authors and publishing professionals.

You may find it best to sort through all of my material by using the topic index at the right sidebar, to find what appeals to you most. The tabs at top also highlight key topics.

Let me know what you would like to see in my blog.
